    Meet Peter

    Peter had been volunteering at a nursing home for many years, but his dream was to be employed as a patient transporter at a health care facility, a place that traditionally only offered volunteer positions.  Peter worked with an Employment Specialist at Ability Beyond Disability to hone his skills, and finally, his dream came true.  Peter became the first consumer to actually be hired as an employee at the facility.  He loves his job; working as a patient transporter is everything he dreamed it would be.
