Ability Beyond Disability appoints Jane Davis-Bunt to Chief Operating OfficerAbility Beyond Disability, one of the northeast’s largest agencies providing services to people with disabilities, appoints Jane Davis-Bunt to the newly created Chief Operating Officer position, it was announced by Thomas H. Fanning, President/CEO of the organization. The decision to appoint a Chief Operating Officer was done to support the current and future goals set forth in Ability Beyond Disability’s vision for the future five year strategic plan and, at the same time, ensure quality of services is maintained amidst this period of tremendous growth for the organization. In her new role, Ms. Davis-Bunt will oversee the day to day operation of all programs and services providing organizational leadership, assuring quality services and facilitating the assimilation of new programs as the organization continues to experience tremendous growth in services. The organization’s programs and services, clinical supports and quality improvement departments will fall under Ms. Davis-Bunt’s leadership. Ms. Davis-Bunt, resident of New Milford, CT has been with Ability Beyond Disability for twenty-six years fulfilling a variety of critical roles. Most recently serving as Vice President, Organizational Development & Quality Improvement, Ms. Davis–Bunt was responsible for organization-wide strategic improvement and change initiatives. She is completing her Masters Degree in Organization Leadership at Quinnipiac University, is a member of the Danbury Hospital Ethics Committee and is an Executive Council Member for the New York Alliance of Waiver TBI Providers. Through its vision for the future, Ability Beyond Disability is prepared to double the number of people it serves, by growing existing services and pursuing much-needed specialty services. Included in the plan is the development of facilities designed to meet the special needs of aging adults with disabilities, the substantial expansion of employment and supported living services and the growth of service sites for young adults and youth with disabilities. In addition to growth in services areas, Ability Beyond Disability’s Vision for the future will also focus on strengthening and expanding its workforce, implementing new technologies to enhance the efficiency of service delivery and financing its future. Ability Beyond Disability is a 501{c} (3) organization headquartered in Bethel, Conn. and Mount Kisco, N.Y. It provides a wide range of services for more than 1,300 people with a disability -- including numerous residential alternatives, employment training, career counseling, job placement services, cognitive and life skills instruction, clinical and therapeutic support, and volunteer and recreational activities.
