Mercedes-Benz Dealer ChampionshipGolf tournament to benefit Ability Beyond DisabilityThe 2010 Mercedes-Benz Dealer Championship sponsored by Mercedes-Benz of Danbury and Friendly Motorcars will benefit Ability Beyond Disability. The tournament will be held on September 21, 2010 at the Ridgefield Country Club in Danbury, CT. Four winners of the event will move on to the Mercedes-Benz Eastern Sectional Tournament in Pinehurst, NC to compete for a chance to move on to the National Final at Augusta, GA. Jordan Young, a resident of Ridgefield, CT will chair the event. He is Vice President at Fairfield Processing, a member of the Ability Beyond Disability Board of Trustees and his family has been involved with the organization for over 30 years. Bob Camastro, owner of Mercedes-Benz of Danbury and General Manager of Friendly Motorcars, is a generous supporter of Ability Beyond Disability. He has taken that commitment a step further through sponsorship of the tournament. “The work Ability Beyond Disability does to help make our community a better place is so inspiring,” said Mr. Camastro. “I am thrilled to be able to help them so they can continue to do what they have been doing for decades for people with disabilities.” Registration and breakfast will begin at 8:30am. There will be a 10:00am shotgun start, lunch, playoffs, cocktail hour, dinner and an awards ceremony. Four brand new Mercedes-Benz vehicles will be awarded to the first four players skilled enough to make a hole-in-one. It’s guaranteed to be an exciting day for all participants. Proceeds from the tournament will support the many community-based services that Ability Beyond Disability provides to more than 1,300 individuals with varying disabilities in Connecticut and New York.
