The Annual Ability Beyond Disability Gala

The annual gala is Ability Beyond Disability's largest fundraising event of the year.  Funds raised from the event support the various programs of our consumers.  The evening features a live and silent auction, dinner, dancing, live entertainment and the Robert S. Young Humanitarian Award.

The award is given in memory of Robert S. Young, a former volunteer leader and President of Ability Beyond Disability. It is at the Gala that the award recipient is introduced. The honoree is a member of the community who exemplifies community participation and volunteerism. The consumers also attend as guests and have the opportunity to interact directly with their Ability Beyond Disability supporters. If you would like more information about attending our Annual Ability Beyond Disability Gala please contact Samantha Cosentino at 203-826-3181.

     The 2012 Mercedes-Benz Dealer Championship
Ability Beyond Disabiliy will participate in the Mercedes-Benz Dealer Championship.  This tournament brings individuals and businesses from the tri-state area together for a great day of golf at Ridgewood Country Club in Danbury, CT.  It is a wonderful opportunity for networking and introductions, as well as raising funds for the people served by Ability Beyond Disability.  All proceeds will benefit Ability Beyond Disability and the 2,000 people with disabilities throughout CT and NY that we help each and every year.

If you would like more information about playing or sponsoring Ability Beyond Disability through the golf tournament, please contact Samantha Cosentino at 203-826-3181.

    Hoops for Hope
Ability Beyond Disability's newest fundraising event, Hoops for Hope, celebrates National Disability Employment month!

A wheelchair basketball game, starring the Connecticut Spokebenders, is held annually at Danbury High School to raise money in support of employment opportunities for people with disabilities.  The professional Spokebenders take on a team of Ability Beyond Disability employees, Danbury High faculty, students and local celebrities.  This family fun event features a bake sale, raffle prizes and a great way to support people with disabilities right in our community.

Meet Calvin Calvin had just graduated from High School and was looking for support as he started his adult life working in the community. Ability Beyond Disability was able to help him.
