    As a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization, Ability Beyond Disability relies on philanthropic support to ensure its success. Each year we are committed to raising the funds needed so that we may continue to be a resource for changing the lives of approximately 1,700 individuals with disabilities living in our communities.

    Donors and supporters of Ability Beyond Disability are always impressed to learn that our services cost about half as much as those provided by State agencies, while our administrative overhead is well below the industry norm. That means every philanthropic dollar makes an impact on the people we serve.

Meet John “When John was born in 1933, children with Down syndrome did not live at home, but his parents wouldn't have it any other way. As John grew up he required more support and eventually came to Ability Beyond Disability where he began to build a life for himself.”
